Scope and Contents The first catalog was published in the 1st series of the Journal, v. 4, 1817-1824, The next was made by Isaac Hays, 1824-1834, followed by one published with the Act of Incorporation and By-Laws, 1836. Additions through 1850 are interleaved in a special library copy of the 1837 catalog. From 1850-1915, the catalogs were made by librarians J. D. Sergeant and Edw. J. Nolan.
